I was 24 years old when I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury. I was a victim of a crime.
Not being able to drive myself has been a barrier. Being able to take the bus helps me get where I need to go.
What I would like the community to know about Traumatic Brain Injury is that there are resources like Central Coast Center for Independent Living that can help. It used to be that only in certain parts of Salinas you could get shot, but now it could happen anywhere.
