CCCIL's Services
The Central Coast Center for Independent Living (CCCIL) is a private, non-profit organization, led by persons with disabilities whose purpose is to advance the civil rights and independent living opportunities of all people with disabilities living on the Central Coast.
CCCIL assists the traditionally underserved mono-lingual Spanish speaking people with disabilities.
CCCIL helps people with disabilities gain access to services, programs, benefits and in formation. The services CCCIL offers include:
- In formation and Referral: In formation on a wide range of topics related to disability. CCCIL connects people to other services providers, and is a resource for other community agencies that wish to enhance the accessibility of their services for people with a variety of disabilities.
- Advocacy: Assistance to persons with disabilities in gaining access to financial and medical benefits and to other services for which they may be eligible.
- Housing Assistance: Self-advocacy training on how to look for accessible, affordable and available housing and on how to remove architectural barriers.
- Personal Assistance Services: Guidance regarding programs, rights and procedures; personal assistant recruitment; hiring and management; registry/referral in formation.
